A Resilient Survivor Looking for Her Second Chance at Tuscarawas County Humane Society
Enid is almost two years old, and has already been through more than any dog should have to endure before their second birthday.
She came to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society after a concerned caller reached out on her behalf. When she arrived, she was heartbreakingly underweight. She was a dog who hadn't been getting what she needed from the people who were supposed to provide it. That's the part of her story that makes your heart hurt a little extra.
But here's what happened next: Enid didn't shut down. She didn't turn against people. With proper nutrition and consistent love, she's slowly but surely been gaining both weight and confidence, and becoming a gentle spirit who is proving herself more resilient by the day. That's not nothing. That's actually everything.
Full disclosure: she's allergic to chicken and beef, so she'll need a dedicated owner who's willing to pay attention to her diet. That's a small ask for a dog who's already shown you exactly who she is: sweet, strong, and ready to trust again if you give her a reason to.
