Not sure if your images will work? Email them to us at mybarkinglife@gmail.com and we'll let you know. We frequently create portraits of pets that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, so we understand it's not always possible to follow the photo guidelines. In most cases, we can still make it work.

Tips for best outcome

To make sure your custom portrait looks exactly like your pet, follow these quick photo guidelines:
 

  • Close-ups: Head and chest shots taken at eye-level with your pet work best.
     

  • Lighting: Outdoor light or well-lit indoor spaces capture the truest fur colors.
     

  • Quality: Upload the original file. Avoid screenshots or blurry, low-resolution photos.
     

  • Features: Ensure ears, eyes, and unique markings are clearly visible in the frame.

    NOTE: Collars and tags will only be removed if you request it.

Processing & Timelines

Every portrait is custom-made with love and individual care.

 

  • Art Proof: You will receive a digital proof to review via email within 2–3 days, depending on the number of orders in my queue.
     

  • Revisions: We offer unlimited minor revisions to ensure you love the final design.
     

  • Shipping: Once you approve your proof, your custom item goes into production and usually ships out within 3–5 business days. We currently offer Free Shipping exclusively within the United States. We do not ship internationally at this time.
     

  • Tracking: A tracking number will be emailed to you when your item ships.
